Apparently you will be able to hear doves on BBC Radio Manchester around 8:20am this morning (Wednesday). That’s from the PR guy at Man City, so they are most likely helping with the launch of the new kit. No live music, just talk, probably about the Live For City show.
Minnesota Public Radio’s The Current have uploaded an interview and live performance from Jimi, Jez & Martin, recorded earlier today on Jimi’s birthday.
Click here, to listen to the broadcast.
Doves will be co-hosting FM94/9’s big sonic chill tonight straight after the show at the House Of Blues, which is presented by FM94/9. You can listen to doves doing a spot of overtime live. Just visit the FM94/9 website, then hit listen live. The show starts at 9m, doves will obviously be on stage at that time. So expect doves anytime after 11pm or so.
EDIT: Jimi popped into the FM94/9 studio’s this afternoon for a brief chat. doves will be on the big sonic chill at midnight tonight! Damn, I hope that overtime rate of pay is good. ;)
Jimi and Andy of Doves recently hosted their own show for Xfm Radio in the U.K., playing an hour of their favourite music, every Sunday during the month of April.

Doves
Zoo Session and interview
Doves came in to chat to Geoff Lloyd and they played an incredible live session in the Absolute Radio Zoo.
Check out the session, it includes the tracks ‘Kingdom of Rust,’ ‘Winter Hill,’ ‘The Greatest Denier’ and ‘There Goes the Fear.’ We’ve also got the full interview for you to check out and some photos too!
The video of the session and an interview with the band are now available to view online at Absolute Radio’s site, here.
Jimi recently spoke with Australia’s Triple J Radio, via a phone interview with DJ Zan Rowe.
Jimi from Doves tells you about their Kingdom of Rust…
Manchester band Doves are, this week, releasing their fourth album. The trio have long traded in epic, drama filled music. You hear Jimi Goodwin’s voice and you know you’re listening to a Doves album.
It took four years for Doves to give us a new record, and interestingly they’ve changed it up on their latest Kingdom of Rust. There’s krautrock, disco and electro elements this time around, but they’ve still kept their trademark sweeping guitar sound.
Last week I got onto the phone with lead singer Jimi from the band to talk about the new album, and asked him why they took so long to create Kingdom Of Rust.
To download an MP3 of the interview, right-click and save this link. To subscribe to Zan Rowe’s XML feed, click here.
BBC 6Music’s 6Mix radio show at 09:00pm BST tonight, will apparently feature new Doves music:
The Queens are joined by Brighton drum ‘n’ bass DJs The Qemists for a live mix, plus there are new remixes from Doves, Phoenix and Dizzee Rascal.
