Doves will be playing a live session on Jo Whiley’s live lounge next Thursday, May 7th at 10am. The live session is a bit of promo in anticiptation for doves performance at Radio 1’s Big Weekend in Swindon the following Saturday. With a bit of luck, we shall have doves performance at the Big Weekend here on doves music blog.

RADIO 1 DJ Zane Lowe joined Chris Moyles on his breakfast show this morning to announce the line-up for the Big Weekend music festival, which is taking place at Swindon’s Lydiard Park next month.
On the In New Music We Trust stage, a number of top bands will be performing, including Fightstar, The King Blues, Florence and the Machine, DeadMau5, Friendly Fires, Doves and Basement Jaxx.

Doves performed a semi-acoustic version of Kingdom Of Rust, on BBC Radio 4’s Loose Ends show, broadcast April 4th. The show will no longer be available to “listen again” via the BBC’s iPlayer, after today.
