Extra Sydney Date Added

Doves shows in Sydney & Melbourne have sold out! Fear not, as an extra Sydney date has been added due to the demand. So the revised Australian tour dates are:

Tuesday 28 July –Billboard, Melbourne SOLD OUT
Wednesday 29 July –The Metro Theatre, Sydney NEW SHOW ON SALE FRIDAY 12 JUNE
Thursday 30 July –The Metro Theatre, Sydney SOLD OUT
Saturday 1 August –Capitol, Perth GET TICKETS

As reported in the Australian press. It is expected doves will be announced to play Splendour In The Grass. Nothing has been confirmed as yet.

Jimmy Fallon

Doves performed a short rip roaring version of The Outsiders on tonight’s edition of ‘Late Night With Jimmy Fallon’. Video to follow tomorrow.

I was surprised by how nice the venue was, especially for being so far on the West Side of Manhattan. They showed videos throughout the whole show on a big screen behind them, it was more entertaining than some shows that just shine bright lights or show swirlies on a screen the whole time. They came out for an encore after perhaps 3 minutes of clapping. I’d guess the audience was about 2,000 people maybe, give or take a thousand, kidding…probably 2,000.

Reminder: Doves on Jimmy Fallon Tonight

Just a quick reminder, that doves are to peform on tonight’s edition of NBC’s Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. The show starts 11:35pm Chicago time. Rumor has it they played the Outsiders. Would be a surprise to me if that’s true, I would have expected Kingdom Of Rust or Winter Hill. Tune in to find out.

Rebelski

Whilst at the shows last week. It was great speaking to people who were seeing doves for the first time. I was asked a few times who the keyboard player is, so this new feature of the blog was born. Seasoned doves fans will know the keyboardist is none other than Martin Roman Rebelski. For those of you who don’t know much about doves unofficial fourth member.
