V Fest 2001 Video

Its starting to get a bit This Is Your Life like on here… more classic live Doves, this time from V 2001. This one features the b-side Hit The Ground Running & Spaceface. Also uploaded is Satellites which can be viewed here. Quality stuff!

Still not sure about that Wrigley Field shirt Jimi! ;)

Cheers to Gibbo for the shout.

echoes in the alleyway update

The echoes in the alleyway project is coming along nicely. A full update on the album progress is now available at the album website.

Glastonbury 2003

Part one of four videos of Doves headline performance at Glastonbury 2003. They headlined the Sunday night on the Other stage. Have seen bits of this before, but not as much as has been uploaded by some kind soul at youtube. BBC Radio 1 later played full audio of the gig which included an early outing for One Of These Days.

One of Doves best live shows imo!

Ben & Jerry’s Review

I reckon this reviewer is a Doves a fan..

So that just left the Doves. Who in a word were as always – fantastic. We’d even go a step further and say that they may just be the best band playing live in the UK right now…and whether you agree or not is besides the point as Clapham Common bounced, sang and beamed along with the Manchester trio.

Their set contained quality track after quality track, spanning their history and delighting in massive amounts. ‘Pounding‘ and ‘Kingdom of Rust’ rocked, as Jez’s vocals cut deep coaxing out the goose pimples with ease. But ‘There Goes The Fear’ remains one Stereoboard.com’s favourite tracks of all time; ensuring our voices were well and truly gone by the end of the evening. Though it wasn’t anything that more free ice cream couldn’t heal!

Ben & Jerrys Setlist

Setlist thanks to Rosie & NLF. They did not play Spaceface despite it being listed. More bother with the man from the council?! If so he needs to get out more!

Jimi dedicated The Cedar Room to Alex ‘Hurricane’ Higgins. Good man!

Cheers guys! Hope it was a good day out.

Doves Fantasy Premier League

With the football season just a few weeks away, it’s that time again for fantasy football. Once again doves board regular teps has set up a doves league at the official Fantasy Premier League competition.

For those of you who have taken part in the Fantasy Premier League before and know the drill. doves league code is 272370-72607.

If you have never taken part. You need to sign up at the Fantasy Premier League here, its completely free! Give your team a name, pick 15 players costing no more than £100 million. You cannot pick more than three players from one club. Once you have your team picked, on the left nav menu click the leagues option, then hit create/join. There you will see a box where you enter this code 272370-72607 then hit join private league. Your all done! You can laugh at other team names, crap team selections etc.

Thanks again Teps! Should be allot of fun.

Good luck!
