Q Live

Celebrating another year online here at DMB HQ! What a way to celebrate, with many thanks to Tarquin for providing a flac of Doves set from Llandudno back in August 2003. The show was a warm up for the Reading/Leeds festivals that weekend. Was a great show, the support came from the fantastic My Morning Jacket. The show included new tracks One Of These Days (previously played at Glasto earlier in the year) and the debut of The Machine which you can hear above. The Machine obviously has not seen light of day since, so enjoy the audio!

I mentioned the other week Doves are featured on the latest Q mag cover CD. You will find the disc on copies of Q mag Febuary 2011. There Goes The Fear as advertised being from a Q session in 2005 is actually taken from the Capitol Tower Session recorded in June 2002, previously available on a US The Last Broadcast promo. Still its a gem of a recording, so if you don’t already have it, go get a copy. The album also features some great live performances from the likes of Cherry Ghost, Athlete & The Charlatans among others.
