“The man was basically a philanthropist,” remembers bassist Jimi Goodwin. “He bankrolled us and gave us a second chance as Doves. Without him, I don’t know where we’d be.”

Rob Gretton

Today marks the tenth anniversary of the passing of Rob Gretton. Doves have contributed to a tribute to Rob at Caught By The River:

Fac 511: And You Forgotten

A memorial event for Rob Gretton.

Doves played a short acoustic set, which included a debut performance of Almost Forgot Myself.

A Certain Ratio headlined the event, who were joined by Peter Hook of New Order. Dave Rofe spun some tunes.
