Photos & Review of NYC Show

The Manhattan-based Sentimentalist Magazine has also posted a short review of the N.Y.C. show…

At one point, Goodwin, obviously warmed by the fans’ thunderous applause, says, “You’re so f***in’ kind! We don’t deserve it, really!”

Banter was all around, as Goodwin seemed ever-so-grateful to his New Yorkers, interrupting one of the more solemn songs to joke about having a vodka tonic with the rest of us.

Minneapolis Varsity Theater – Review & Photos

I’m a tad late with this, mainly due to the recent sunshine across most of Britain over the weekend. Like Doves say, “Catch the sun, before it’s gone”…

Music-blog, Culture Bully, has an amazing review (and pictures) of last Thursday’s show at the Varsity Theater in Minneapolis. The Twin Cities Decider also has a few photos of Doves, along with support act, Wild Light.

Portland Review

OregonLive.com has published a great review of Doves’ show at Portland’s Wonder Ballroom venue.

The encore also included a subtle, understated performance of the beautifully melancholic “The Last Broadcast.” “It comes to a point when you feel nothing,” Goodwin sang. “This is the last time.”

Based on the strength of their performance, if the Doves are the last band to ever broadcast, I can’t say I would mind too much.

Note: Jez was ill this night, hence the lack Jez sung tracks! No backing vocals either, it sounds weird without them.
