THE QUIETUS TRACK BY TRACK REVIEW

Top blog The Quietus was invited to doves Stockport studio for an album playback. A track by track review of the album is now at the blog. Click the image above to read the review.

I don’t usually tend to believe the hype that goes with an album release, even with previous doves records. But you do get the feeling with this record, they have made a killer album. Each review has referred to it being their best yet. Of the 6 tracks I have heard, I’m really starting to believe the hype.

Doves hit the road tonight for their first tour since late 2005. They kick off 2009 at Warrington’s Parr Hall. A wonderful venue, I wish I was there. Best of luck to doves tonight, here’s to a great year of touring for the band. I will post up a setlist/review etc as it all becomes available.
