Invasion of Love
The promised solo album by Cherry Ghost’s Simon Aldred aka Out Cold gets released on Monday (Sept 16th) via Heavenly Recordings.
Having been giving a sneak preview of the album, I genuinely could not recommend this record highly enough. Forget everything you know of Simond Alrdred’s Cherry Ghost sound, this record goes off on a completely different highway. Highlights include the catchy lead single All I Want, the groovy My Cruel Heart and the monster title track Invasion of Love. Its an earphones record, plenty layers that will keep you going back exploring new sounds. It should also sound great on the record player!
Ransom Note has the full album up for your streaming pleasure, go check it out. The album is available in the UK via all good record stores/online sites. You can grab it via Heavenly too.. tip if yer outside the UK these folks have good postage rates and they are usually pretty quick.
Out Cold
There is still bugger all to report at the moment. Last I heard, Jimi is trying to get a record deal. The entire Eden gig of 2010 is now up on Youtube from Push Me On to Spaceface. See it all on YouTube
Cherry Ghost’s Simon Aldred is about to put out a solo album titled Invasion of Love in August under the name Out Cold. We got a sneek peak a little while back with the brilliantly catchy All I Want that hit the social media sites. Last week Clash Music offered up a free track Fingers Through The Glass for free, get it here.
An intriguing project, love the groove on Fingers Through The Glass. A real refreshing sound, the guitars have not been completely thrown away, they have just been buried deep in the mix. I for one cannot wait to hear the rest of the album!

Word has it that Jez is no longer involved with Raized By Wolves, and has not been since last October! Jez & Andy are working on a project together that they hope to have finished in July.
Great news! Of course Jimi is still working on his project, but lets hope we get some new material sometime later this year!
New Raized By Wolves
New music from Jez & Martin’s project Raized by Wolves. The tracks are Ghosts & She Loves The Music plus the instrumentals for both. They add that they are finishing the record!

Season’s Greetings!
Season’s greetings to you! It has not been the most active/exciting year around these parts. Next year promises to be a bit more exciting with a solo album from Jimi expected and a album from Jez & Martin’s new project Raized by Wolves. Would be cool if Andy released something too, we’ll just have to wait and see how it all pans out.
I spent the year listening to and reviewing an album a day which allot of you have been following, so thanks for all the recommendations/messages of support! I’m finishing up the challenge over the coming days. Been enjoyable checking out new albums, genres and all that. My favourite album? I’ll do a list or something but the Blue Nile’s A Walk Across The Rooftops resonated with me big time. What an amazing band. As for current releases.. I highly recommend Land Observations Roman Roads or that brilliant record from Diiv.
