IMDb’s UK TV & Radio Guide lists Doves as performing a Maida Vale session on Zane Lowe’s BBC Radio One show, April 8th at 07:00pm BST.
Two hours of the best new and cutting-edge music, featuring Doves in session from Maida Vale.
No further details are available at present, so it’s more than likely that this may be the same session broadcast recently across BBC Radio 2 and BBC 6music. Bookmark Zane Lowe’s Radio One page, here, for future developments.
Listeners outside of the U.K. can hear Radio One live (via a Real Audio stream) by clicking this link. The Real Audio codec must be installed on your computer, in order to listen.
The Doves dropped in to pick their perfect playlist. Expect classics from the Chemical Brothers and Sonic Youth.
This is presumably a filmed version of the recent one hour D.J. set which was broadcast on NME Radio last Friday.
The second show, is Gonzo on MTV Two at midnight BST.
The Doves and Spinnerette join Zane on the couch for this special episode of Gonzo, so make sure you join them for some cool music, stupid clips, and the burning issues from mtv.co.uk/gonzo.
NME TV is available on Sky channel 382 and MTV Two is available on Sky channel 346 or Virgin Media channel 312.

The video is an Xvid-encoded MPEG4 AVI file which should be standalone-compatible with most new DVD or AV players which are equipped to play DivX files.
Jimi Goodwin, the main man of Doves. Ahead of their fourth album, Kingdom of Rust, he talks about the trials of recording, the importance of place and their confluence of influences. Though he does it in far more pleasant language.

Thanks to Gibbo for recording these and allowing me to post them on the blog.
I’m heading off to sunnier climbs (or just Nebraska) for the next 10 days on a much needed vacation. I wont have much internet access, so I have handed over the blog to doves board regular Justin, who will keep things going.
