World Cup DJ Set

NME.com reports of some World Cup DJ sets featuring Doves..

The likes of Doves, Mani and Starsailor’s James Walsh are set to perform at special gigs around England’s World Cup games.

London club night Thisfeeling.co.uk/club is staging live performances and DJ sets around screenings of the games at the Relentless Garage.

England vs USA: Kid British (live), Mani (DJ set) (June 12)
England vs Algeria: Doves (DJ set), Sound Of Guns Live (18)
England vs Slovenia: Ian Broudie (live), The Twang (DJ set) (23)
England second round match (if they qualify): The Rifles (live), Jersey Budd (live), Soccer AM DJs (June 26/27 depending on fixture)

Doves For TT

Isle Of Man news reports that Doves will be performing on the Island at the Douglas Villa Marina during the week of TT. Doves are due to play on the Tuesday, tickets go on sale Saturday.

Doves last performed on the Isle of Man, at the back end of 2005.

RockNess

doves have been confirmed to perform at this year’s RockNess.

RockNess director Jim King said: “We’re delighted with the RockNess line-up this year, the best we’ve had to date, and we’re particularly looking forward to having BBC Radio 1 on board as our official radio partner.

“We have some really great indie bands lined up with The Strokes, Doves and Ian Brown and there’s still more bands to add.

The festival takes place weekend of June 11-13th. Doves will perform on the Sunday night, as they are elsewhere on Friday/Saturday. Tickets are on sale now.

Suffolk Forest Gig For June

Doves are to play Thetford Forest in Suffolk as part of the forestry commission’s gig series on June 12th. Tickets priced £28 go on sale this Friday at 9am.

Doves have announced that they will play a gig in Thetford Forest in Suffolk on June 12.

The show will be part of the Forestry Commission’s forthcoming gig series. James Morrison, Keane and Simply Red have already been announced as set to play gigs in UK forests later this year as part of the whole event.
