Sorry Teps I wasn't ignoring you - only back in t'internet-world now.

Well obviously the first thing I need to say is that news of the young man that died & the other seriously poorly folks was pretty grim. And I think they (& their families) were on everyone’s minds throughout the weekend.

So then, best bits: tremendous bands, proper friendly crowd & all up for a full-lunged sing-a-long at the drop of a hat. Well-spaced stages/ lovely woodland areas, all with no sound bleed. Black Rivers dodged the rain bullet on Thursday & think Andy’s family had come along – wee girl with gorgeous blonde curls & a younger lad who ROCKED his priorities – golden crown on first; then ear defenders!

There was rain & much mud (wrestling for ownership of your footwear at every step when not offering a Dancing on Ice audition) but, hey, not unexpected. Interestingly when watching a band this forced you to dance or else sink & struggle to free yourself from the actual ground (I’m considering approaching my local gym to run this as a new resistance based exercise class – you heard it here first!). I did feel a bit sorry for the poor deer (‘’we leave our home for 4… 4 days & return to a TRASHED home’’) & the place was awash with worms having committed Hari-kari by Sunday. Oh & the sun sheepishly re-appeared on Monday morning!

So I think my festival experience pretty much covered all the bases!

No worries!

I'm in an Internet free area, Woolacombe. Have to go into a pub or cafe for WiFi, no data signal.
