Correction.... sorry he didn't play Ghost of the empties that was on XFM earlier (I was flicking between stations you see). he played Lonely at the drop in addition to them other two.

The Ghost Of The Empties

Man v Dingo was yesterday's ear worm and today it's The Ghost of the Empties. It's beautiful and I adore the intro. Possibly the best one on the album but that's likely to have changed by this time tomorrow when I've listened to the cd in the car on my crap commute.

Live version lovely but this just becomes hauntingly wonderful on the album. Am. Just. Speechless.

I would like this better if it didn't end the way it did. Terrible ending, sorry. Needed a worthy outro to match the beautiful intro, only then would it be truly magical. And that's not a knock, if anything it's a compliment as I wanted to hear more.

Love how it slowly comes into focus at the start. It stops a chord too early going by the book, but that is just another subtle thing for me that bucks the norm

Fifth favourite at the moment, lovely song. Like the intro/build up and I love the ending........ends on a sad note.
