Edinburgh Setlist

The show has literally just finished, setlist as always thanks to NLF. If you went, or was at last night’s show in Scarborough do let us know how it went on. Apparently people were jumping into the lagoon at the front of the stage at Scarborough? Sounds like an interesting show!

I was at Scarborough. Jimi said the venue was the most surreal one they’d played, and that the “synchronised swimmers” that jumped in the lagoon had made his day! He also “rescued” one of the lagoon jumpers from being escorted off by security when he managed to clamber on stage during “There Goes The Fear”, enabling the bloke to jump back into the lagoon, but resulting in Jimi being late for joining in on the drums at the end of the song!!

Went to Doves gig last night in Edinburgh and it was as close to a religious experience as I’ve ever had at a gig. This was the fourth time that I’d seen them live and the place was going totally nuts from start to finish! As Jimi said himself ‘It’s just like karaoke’ as everyone was singing their hearts out. You could see in the band’s faces that they were genuinely blown away by the response of the crowd! The best gig of my life was seeing Doves playing in the King Tut’s tent at T In The Park about 5 years ago, but this one was not far off that. Very special! A night that I’ll remember for a very long time. Hopefully it won’t be too long till the boys are back in Scotland again. Never stop guys, what you do can’t be bettered by anyone else.

At Edinburgh gig last night. Absolutely loved it. The crowd reaction was jumpin’, literally. I enjoyed so many tracks, always moved by Black and White Town, and accompanying film, but hearing Space Face at the end was a great treat. If I could have influenced the sound engineer – I’d have encouraged a bit more volume to get your vocals in particular to penetrate the back of the room. But I had a great time and sang my wee heart out along with you. You seemed to enjoy the reception and I hope you had a great time in Edinburgh. Now getting excited about the news of you writing new material…..all the best.

  • Was in Edinburgh on sunday night for the gig, and it was awesome the crowd were awesome. Each gig of the Doves ive been to gets better and better Edinburg was only my 3rd Doves gig ive been a fan for 9 years. It was amazing, great atmosphere in the place.

Me and my sister flew over from ireland to see them and we got really lucky and met Jimi outside, he chatted to a few of us outside signed autographs and posed for a photos, what a legend. I still cant believe i met him what a great guy. Fanastic gig loved every second of it.
